Matt Biolos entered the shaping scene in the late 1980s, sanding surfboards under San Clemente icon Herbie Fletcher and first started to get noticed outside that community when his boards found their way under the feet of Chris Ward and Corey Lopez in the mid 1990s.  Their ground breaking surfing (documented in several ..Lost produced videos) at the time, coupled with Matt's dedication to his craft, cemented him as a force to be reckoned with in the world of surfboards.  Not long after, his first iconic shape the 5'5" x 19 1/4" Round Nose Fish would flip surfboard design on it's head.  The Round Nose Fish was probably one of the first times a fun retro shape had been successfully reinterpreted for a high performance approach - and the design became a world wide success.

Since then the brand has gone from strength to strength - with Matt's designs finding their way under the feet of some of the best surfers of the past 2 decades. Today Matt prides himself on creating a full range of surfboard shapes that all people can enjoy. From his easy-riding fun, functional shapes for the "Domesticted" surfer all the way up to his ultra-refined, cutting edge "Proformance" crafts for those chasing world titles. Today his roster of riders features three-time World Champ Carissa Moore, Tyler Wright, the Ho family, Taj Burrow, Kolohe Andino, Griffin Colapinto, Yago Dora and many other names.
